Although SupermarketSaver is new to the FMCG industry, within nine months Online Asset Partners were able to get all of the primary keywords from outside of the top 50 to page one. This included primary keywords like ‘supermarket’ and ‘groceries’. The month on month growth for organic search has becomes a reliable platform for sales forecasting and future growth possibilities.”
SupermarketSaver is an emerging E-commerce business specialising in branded grocery products at discounted prices. The business is 100% New Zealand owned and has been distributing product since 2010. In early 2012 the team decided to ramp up their online efforts and engaged Online Asset Partners to help them to compete against the ‘big boys’ online.
To target the primary keywords of ‘Groceries’ and ‘Supermarket’ and other associated keywords. Initially all of these keywords were outside of the top 50 search results and Online Asset Partners were charged with the task of competing against larger budgets and companies to get a page one results within 12 months. SupermarketSaver had a conservative budget which put additional emphasis on the research and strategy phase to ensure that the budget available would create the desired result of additional organic search and new clients
